Our 1 day ‘Unhooked’ courses aim to teach the skills required to catch, prepare and cook your own fish.

We start the day on the South Coast where we will charter a boat with Ben Carter who oversees all our Wild Resources. Ben will talk you through the different species of fish found off the South Coast, with a focus on Bass, Plaice and Bream and teach you the techniques used to catch them.

A late lunch will break up the day before spending the afternoon focusing on ways of preparing and cooking fish with Chef Steve Horrell who will talk you through and demonstrate how best to prepare and cook the fish you have caught using simple, fresh ingredients. The course includes an Unhooked apron and filleting knife to take home and all fishing tackle will be provided.

Wild Resources educates and informs our chefs and the community on best practices for foraging, shooting, fishing and forestry with a focus on sustainability and seasonality.
