Kitchen Garden

At the entrance to the gallery is the Roth Bar & Grill kitchen garden, which is looked after by Steph Hafferty and provides culinary herbs, edible flowers and seasonal vegetables, carefully selected to exist in harmony with each other and to connect the gallery and restaurant to the land.

Everything grown on-siteĀ is used in the kitchen at the Roth Bar & Grill. The vegetables are grown using a no-dig method, championed by renowned gardener and local resident Charles Dowding, limiting the impact on the soil, while providing a rich stream of produce for the restaurant kitchen, all year round.

Our herb beds host a combination of culinary and medicinal herbs, whilst our old-fashioned espalier apple trees continue to climb along the south-facing wall.
